To everyone that continued to check our blog since the last post I have to apologize for the delay! I feel like things were so hectic over the last 8 months and I feel terrible for not keeping everyone in the loop!
I wanted to talk a little about our summer and our plans for the year ahead! We had a wonderful vacation this summer to Disney World! We went early June and were there for about 12 days. Aiden just loved meeting Mickey and all the characters - or at least did by the end of the trip. It was so memorable for us and we have a beautiful, very large scrapbook to prove it!
We spent many nights and afternoons at US Cellular Park this summer. Aiden seems to have the same love of baseball that his daddy does. He ate many hotdogs and learned to cheer with the rest of our fellow White Sox fans!
Our fall consisted of an awesome birthday party for our little man! The theme this year was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. My mom and I recently learned how to make fondant covered cakes, so his cake was our creation and very large this year! He loved it and I was so proud that we could have made something so cool for his big day! Aiden is now completely obsessed with the Disney Channel, specifically Mickey & Minnie Mouse. His mouse friends are a common site in our house, one being carried in each arm normally.
We have become very excited about Christmas in this house. Aiden has finally grasped the concept of Santa and presents. He is very much looking forward to the holiday. Our house is filled with decorations and books/movies about Christmas. Aiden even convinced daddy to put up Christmas lights or as Aiden would say "Santa Lights" on our townhouse. This would be a first for us in the five years we have lived here! We are especially looking forward to Christmas this year because it will be our last holiday as a family of three. Aiden's sister Avery Ann is expected to be here the beginning of March. We are excited to have a new baby in the house again and look forward to how Aiden will adjust to her arrival. He has become extremely helpful these past few months, trying to vacuum, cooking, baking and cleaning up his toys!
All in all, we are very blessed and cannot wait for the New Year! So many wonderful things to look forward to! We hope all is well with everyone and pray that you have a blessed holiday season!
I have included a couple of my favorite shots from this summer!
